WhatsApp campaigns that turn into conversations
Social Intents is a WhatsApp marketing platform for running campaigns on the official API: one-off broadcasts and automated drip sequences to opted-in audiences, sent inside quiet hours, with reports on who read and replied. Then let your whole team answer from Slack, Microsoft Teams or Google Chat, with unlimited agents on Basic and above.

WhatsApp marketing software for the whole campaign
Six steps a WhatsApp marketing messages platform should handle, in one place. Pick a step to see how it works.
Step 1 · Audience
Build an audience from consent, not guesswork
Pick a list, a rule-based segment or a smart audience. Every contact carries a WhatsApp consent status, so the people who never opted in are left out before you write a word.
- Segments on tags, country, consent, signup date, last WhatsApp message and past campaign results
- Smart audiences such as “Opted in” and “24-hour window open”
- Lists from CSV imports or keyword opt-ins like “Text JOIN”
Step 2 · Template
Pick an approved template, or start from 90
Sync your templates from Meta or start from a library of 90 ready-made templates across 34 categories. Map each variable to a contact field with a fallback, so nobody gets “Hi ,”.
- Write and submit new templates with a live WhatsApp preview
- Rejected? See the reason in plain language, then edit and resubmit
- Each library template notes its category and whether it reaches US numbers
Step 3 · Schedule & quiet hours
Schedule it, and never send at 2 a.m.
Send now or later. Quiet hours hold messages to 9 AM–8 PM by default, in your time zone or each contact’s local time worked out from their phone number, with an optional weekdays-only switch.
- Contacts outside the window get the message when their window opens
- Frequency guard skips anyone you sent marketing to recently (12 hours to 7 days)
- Large sends are paced so replies don’t flood your team
Step 4 · Send
Know exactly who you’ll reach before you press send
The live Reach card runs the same checks as the sender: who will get it, who will be skipped and why, and what Meta is likely to charge. Send yourself a test first, then go.
- Skips opted-out contacts, missing variables and recent recipients
- Flags US numbers and routes SMS opt-ins to SMS fallback
- Keeps each day’s sends under 90% of your Meta messaging limit
Step 5 · Measure
See delivered, read and replied for every person
Every campaign gets a live report: sent, delivered, read, replied, failed and opted out, with reply snippets, replies by hour, estimated Meta cost and a CSV export.
- Per-recipient status, not just totals
- Campaign analytics alongside your chat analytics
- Estimated Meta cost per campaign
Step 6 · Retarget
Turn every result into your next audience
One click builds a new audience from any outcome: everyone who replied, read but didn’t reply, received it but didn’t read it, or whose message failed. Follow up with a different offer, not the same blast.
- Read-but-no-reply follow-ups in seconds
- Combine campaign results with tags and consent in segments
- Duplicate a campaign to reuse its settings

Two ways to run a WhatsApp campaign
A WhatsApp campaign is a planned set of messages to opted-in customers, sent with approved templates. Pick the type that fits the goal; both share the same audiences, consent records, templates and reports.
Compliance built into every WhatsApp marketing message
WhatsApp rewards businesses that only message people who want to hear from them. These guardrails are on by default, so the safe choice is also the easy one.
Opt-in evidence
Every opt-in records when, how and who recorded it. Imports ask how people opted in, and staff can’t mark someone opted in without a note.
Automatic STOP opt-outs
STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE and “Stop promotions” mark a contact opted out with a timestamp. Only the contact (by keyword) or an admin with evidence can re-subscribe them.
Quiet hours
Broadcasts go out 9 AM–8 PM by default, in your time zone or the recipient’s, so nobody is woken up by a promotion.
Frequency guard
Contacts who received a marketing message in the last 24 hours are skipped by default. Adjust it from 12 hours to 7 days.
Quality rating protection
See each number’s quality rating and Meta limit, get a warning before sending when quality is Low, and broadcasts pause if Meta pauses your template or flags spam.
Pre-flight checks
Missing variables, no consent, opted out, US numbers and recent recipients are caught before sending, with an estimated Meta cost.
Still reach US customers during Meta’s Marketing pause
Since April 1, 2025, Meta hasn’t delivered Marketing templates to US (+1) numbers, and it hasn’t announced an end date. Without a plan B, those sends simply fail.
Social Intents spots US numbers in the pre-flight check. Turn on SMS fallback and US contacts who opted in to texts get an SMS from your Twilio number instead; everyone else is skipped and clearly reported. Utility templates, like order and appointment updates, still deliver on WhatsApp when the message genuinely is transactional.
Your team replies where it already works
A good WhatsApp campaign creates conversations. Each reply arrives in Slack, Microsoft Teams, Google Chat or our inbox with the contact’s history and the campaign that started it, and an AI chatbot can answer the easy questions first.

How we compare to a typical WhatsApp marketing tool
Paying Meta at cost is common now. The real differences are where your team works, what you pay per agent, and how much protection is built in.
| Capability | Social Intents | Typical WhatsApp marketing tool |
|---|---|---|
| Where your team replies | Slack, Microsoft Teams, Google Chat, or our web and mobile inbox | Usually the vendor’s own dashboard and app |
| Agents | Unlimited on Basic and above | Often priced per seat or capped by plan |
| Meta message fees | Billed by Meta to your account, no markup | Varies: at cost, marked up, or prepaid credits |
| Quiet hours in recipient local time | Built in, 9 AM–8 PM by default | Varies by vendor |
| Frequency guard & pre-flight reach check | Built in | Varies by vendor |
| US Marketing pause | Flagged before sending, SMS fallback via Twilio | Varies by vendor |
| Template help | 90 templates, plain-language rejection reasons, edit & resubmit | Varies by vendor |
| Free tools | Link generator, QR codes, text formatter, pricing calculator | Varies by vendor |
Being fair: some commerce-focused tools also offer Click-to-WhatsApp ad journeys, WhatsApp Flows, catalogs and drip sequences, which Social Intents doesn’t. If those are central to your plan, compare carefully. “Typical” reflects what we commonly see on vendors’ public pages as of November 2026; check each vendor. Named comparisons: WATI alternative.
