Christmas and New Year WhatsApp templates cover the last five weeks of the year: a December gift guide, a shipping-deadline reminder, a season’s greetings note, a New Year thank-you and a January sale. All five are Marketing templates, so plan the schedule in November and send only to opted-in customers.
Season's greetings, Liam! 🎄 Thank you for being part of our year. Our team is taking a short break from December 24 to 26, and we'll reply to every message when we're back. Wishing you a wonderful holiday season.

Reply lands inChristmas & holidays
Christmas and holiday WhatsApp templates cover the three messages most stores need in December: a gift guide, a shipping-deadline reminder and a season’s greetings note with opening hours. All three are Marketing templates. Schedule them from late November so the deadline message lands before carriers’ last delivery dates.
December is the busiest month for retail messaging. These holiday templates cover gift guides, shipping cut-off reminders and a warm season’s greeting, each with an opt-out so you protect your number’s quality rating.

Tip: Use a bright product collage as the image header; image headers usually earn more taps than text-only messages.

Order in time for the holidays
Hi Noah, want your gifts to arrive before the holidays? Order by December 16 for standard shipping or by December 20 for express delivery.

Tip: Even though it reads like a notice, a shipping cutoff sent to your whole list is promotional, so create it as a Marketing template.

Tip: Greetings with no offer are still Marketing in Meta's rules; if your AI chatbot covers the break, say so instead of promising a human reply.
Send your gift guide in late November or early December, then a shipping-deadline reminder about a week before your last standard shipping date.
Use image headers for gift guides; a single strong product photo earns more taps than a long list in text.
If your team is off over the holidays, say when you’ll be back, or let an AI chatbot trained on your FAQs handle replies until then.
Cap December at three or four messages per contact and use the frequency guard so no one gets two Marketing messages in 24 hours.
Put the exact cut-off date in bold (*December 16*) because it is the one detail customers look for.
Yes. “Season’s greetings” or “happy holidays” wording works across cultures. If you want Hanukkah, Christmas or Kwanzaa-specific versions, create separate templates and send them to segments built from your own customer data.
New Year
New Year WhatsApp templates let you thank customers for the past year and open the next one with an offer. There is a greeting from your business and a New Year sale message, both Marketing templates. For January 1, 2027, schedule them in advance and let quiet hours move overnight sends to the morning.
Start the year with a message customers actually want: a fresh-start sale or a short thank-you for the year behind you. These New Year templates are short, friendly and ready to personalize.

Hi Lucas, thank you for choosing Brightside Studio this year. We have big plans for the year ahead and can't wait to share them with you. Happy New Year! 🥂

Tip: Replies to a friendly greeting open a 24-hour window, which is a good moment for your team to follow up personally with key accounts.
Avoid sending at midnight. Schedule for the morning of January 1 or 2 in each audience’s time zone.
Use the greeting template for B2B and service relationships, and the sale template for retail and ecommerce audiences.
Clean your list in January: build a segment of contacts who haven’t messaged you in six months and send them a re-engagement message instead.
Recap one concrete thing you did for customers this year (a new product, longer hours) instead of a generic “thank you for your support”.
Tie the New Year offer to a fresh start, such as a planning product or a January service slot, rather than repeating December’s discount.
Not necessarily. A simple greeting builds goodwill, and replies to it open a 24-hour customer service window where your team can follow up personally. Save the discount for customers who engage.
Yes. Send your greeting, then build an audience from contacts who haven’t read or replied to anything in months and leave them out of January campaigns. Fewer ignored messages help protect your quality rating.
If your customers speak different languages, create one template per language and send each to the matching segment. Meta reviews each language version separately.
